What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Via the submission of contact forms on this website, social media or other Rebel Soul Recruitment landing pages we collect personal information such as name, email and company name. We also collect personal information such as name and email address from users who enter comments on our website under the Lifestyle section. Having willingly given this information you are added to the Rebel Soul Recruitment community mailing list as people with legitimate interest in our services.

In addition we also collect data regarding our users from third party cookies using software such as Hubspot and Mailchimp regarding data such as where you are based, when and through which channel you visited our site, which pages you viewed and how long you stayed on each page in order to improve our website, services, social media communication and provide greater personalisation of all three to our users. We keep personal data of our users for a period of 12 months before asking them if they wish to remain part of our community. At any time we are happy to remove a user from our mailing list and delete their personal data, simply contact tim@rebelsoulrecruitment.com.

Visitors to our website who are not users registered to our mailing list are anonymised by our web hosting provider under law and no personal data is available to us from their service.

We use also use third party software and plug-ins in order to run and maintain this site and can happily make you aware of where and with which provider so you can be aware of their individual privacy policies regarding any data they may maintain independent of Rebel Soul Recruitment.

Comments

When you leave comments on this website, WordPress collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. There is no further personal information stored by WordPress apart from that of already registered WordPress users.

Also while using the comments section, an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

We also utilitise an anti-spam service by Akismet who collect information about visitors who comment on Sites with the intention of stopping spam appearing in the comments section. The information they collect depends on how the user sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These cookies are stored by WordPress themselves, and for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Through using a web hosting provider we have access to anonymous analytics regarding our visitors however no personal data is collected or revealed other than the data of users who have signed up to the Rebel Soul Recruitment mailing list and data is stored and analysed in order to provide personalised content and services and improve our website and services for others.

How Long Your Data May Be Retained

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely by WordPress and ourselves. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on the WordPress website (if any), they also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except changing your username). Rebel Soul Recruitment website administrators can also see and edit that information and will do so at our own discretion if these compromise our values.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account with WordPress, or have left comments, you can request to receive regarding the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to ourselves and WordPress. You can also request that we and WordPress erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
